Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device to remember information about your visit. This policy explains what cookies Elniey uses, why we use them and how you can control them. It applies to the marketing website at elniey.com and to the Elniey operator console.
1. Essential cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary to deliver the service you have requested and cannot be switched off. They include the session identifier that keeps you signed in, the CSRF token that protects your form submissions and the cookie-consent preference itself. Essential cookies do not require your consent under Portuguese law.
tg_session — first-party, expires with the browser session, used to maintain your signed-in state on the operator console.
tg_csrf — first-party, expires after 12 hours, prevents cross-site request forgery on form submissions.
tg_cookie_consent_v1 — first-party, expires after 12 months, records your response to the cookie banner.
2. Analytics cookies
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages of the marketing website are useful and where visitors get stuck. Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them via the cookie banner. We do not enrich analytics data with third-party identifiers, we do not run cross-site tracking and we do not sell any of this data.
tg_pv — first-party, expires after 13 months, records the sequence of pages visited during a session.
_ph_id — first-party (PostHog EU instance), expires after 12 months, associates repeat visits with an anonymous identifier.
3. Third-party services
The following third parties may set cookies on pages that embed their content:
YouTube — the operator console may embed product-tour videos. We use the youtube-nocookie.com domain, which does not set tracking cookies until the visitor plays a video.
Stripe — payment pages within the operator console embed the Stripe checkout, which sets its own strictly necessary cookies for fraud detection under Stripe's own privacy policy.
4. How to change your preferences
You can withdraw or update your consent at any time by clearing the tg_cookie_consent_v1 cookie in your browser, which will cause the cookie banner to reappear on your next visit. Most modern browsers also let you block cookies from a specific site, block all third-party cookies or delete cookies on close — the settings dialog for cookies is typically under Privacy or Site Settings.
5. Do Not Track
Elniey honours the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. When a browser sends the GPC signal, we automatically treat it as a rejection of analytics cookies and do not set them, regardless of any earlier consent given through the banner.
6. Contact and complaints
Questions about cookies can be addressed to Miguel Serôdio Pinto — dpo@elniey.com. If you believe our use of cookies infringes your rights, you may lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), Av. D. Carlos I, 134 — 1.º, 1200-651 Lisboa — registration CNPD 15.487/2024.
